A piano should be regularly tuned, at least every six months. If not tuned regularly, the pitch of the instrument may alter necessitating more work when the piano is next serviced.
The tuning and servicing of pianos is a highly technical operation and should only be under-taken by a suitably qualified tuner/technician.
Our tuning charges will vary depending upon the area in which you live.
Additional charges are made for tuning outside of normal working hours, e.g. Saturdays.
(A concessionary price is given to schools and colleges.)

Mickleburgh’s reputation for the professionalism of our staff and the quality of our hire instruments has secured business on a nationwide scale.
Most hires are usually for a one or two day special event but our transport department will be pleased to negotiate an extended hire period.
Additional charges are made for on-site tuning, stairs and steps, and for delivery outside of normal working hours.
Various models, invariably Yamaha, are available for hire ranging from the M110 upright to the 7’6” Yamaha C7 Grand piano.
Our prices are competitive and include insurance but will be based upon location, model of piano, and the dates required for hire.

Moving a piano should only be undertaken by professionals as it calls for specific skills and experience. Our removal staff, offering a nationwide transportation service, possess both the expertise and the experience.

We are also pleased to carry out internal removals (moving a piano from one room to another) as well as external.
If you are moving home, whatever the size of your piano - UPRIGHT, SMALL GRAND or LARGE GRAND - we are the best people to transport it.
Additional charges are made for stairs and steps, or for removals requested for specific dates. The quoted price  will also include insurance to the value of £2000.00 per piano.
